Privacy Policy

ParaKeeper is a paraSOQL LLC product. This policy explains how ParaKeeper collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the service.

1. Information we collect

We may collect:

• Account information, such as your name, email address, password hash, and time zone.
• Content you choose to store, including bills, deadlines, notes, household assignments, account references, and uploaded files.
• Household membership, invitation, role, and sharing information.
• Subscription identifiers and status received from Stripe. ParaKeeper does not store full payment-card numbers.
• Security and technical data, such as session information, hashed IP addresses, login attempts, audit events, and error logs.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate ParaKeeper, authenticate accounts, display and share content as directed, send reminders and invitations, process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.

3. Household sharing

Content marked for a household, assigned to another member, or shared with selected members is available to those users according to their roles. You are responsible for choosing appropriate visibility and avoiding highly sensitive secrets such as passwords, full payment-card numbers, or Social Security numbers.

4. When information is disclosed

We may disclose information:

• To household members according to the sharing choices you make.
• To service providers that help with hosting, email delivery, security, storage, and payment processing.
• When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, ParaKeeper, paraSOQL LLC, or others.
• As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of the service, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information for money.

5. Cookies and sessions

ParaKeeper uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms, and maintain security. These cookies are required for the service to function.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account and organizer content while needed to provide the service. Temporary security records, expired reset links, old invitations, and processed webhook records are removed on scheduled retention cycles. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, fraud-prevention records, or records that must be retained for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted connections, password hashing, access controls, request validation, and restricted file storage. No service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices

You can change item visibility, remove household members if authorized, download available exports, manage billing through Stripe, and contact us about correcting or deleting account information. Removing information shared with others may not remove copies they previously exported or lawfully retained.

9. Children

ParaKeeper is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally valid authorization.
